Welcome to our studio! Our clients work with us for our design aesthetic and ability to make each project unique. Our process also provides our clients with a fixed-cost fee, which means you'll know the final bill before the project even begins.
However, our method still allows for flexibility once the project is underway. At House Crush, design and customer communication are fluid and consistent. We believe you should know that your ideas and priorities are being heard, that your budget will contain no surprises, and that your home won't look like anyone else's!

As Principal and Owner of House Crush, Marika leads a highly skilled team of tradespeople and design associates through every project. House Crush is proud of its customer service, and even prouder of its ‘both-feet-in’ commitment. With the right combination of creativity and project management experience, Marika and her team aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. When not at work, Marika can be found in her own kitchen indulging in her love of cooking and eating.

Jacqueline Honnet
Design Associate
Known as our Client Whisperer for her perceptive ability to understand quickly and calmly what clients want, Jacky takes away the intimidation of working with an outside team to plan and design one's home. A design natural, Jacky has a special touch when it comes to design planning, product selection, and interior decor. In her spare time, Jacky is a yoga devotee and the mother of two curly-haired teen boys who share her passion for fashion.

Alison Wadsworth
Design Associate
With her boundless enthusiasm and energy, Alison is our resident cheerleader! With a keen eye for detail, and an even keener eye for design and space planning, Alison ensures the smooth facilitation of design plans, product selections, and project sourcing. Aside from being a proud mom to three kids and one tiny Yorkie, Alison loves to spend time outdoors at her lake house surfing, skiing and golfing with friends and her family.

Michelle Murphy
Design Associate
Michelle brings creativity and expertise to every design project. She started working with House Crush doing drafting and space planning and her role has evolved to encompass a wide range of design responsibilities. Her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and 10 years of experience help her in supporting her clients. Michelle loves being part of House Crush’s women-led team. When she’s not designing, Michelle enjoys quiet moments cuddling with her dog and cat, diving into a good book, or exploring the outdoors on a hike with her husband.

Sofia Ball
Design Associate
With over 16 years of experience in residential and small-scale commercial projects, Sofia specializes in creating functional and beautiful spaces, particularly in kitchens and bathrooms. Sofia is known for her unwavering commitment to quality, client satisfaction, and innovative design solutions. Her kind and happy personality fosters positive relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues, making every collaboration a rewarding experience. Outside of work, Sofia draws inspiration from nature, often hiking scenic trails or paddling Alberta’s lakes with her husband, two grown sons, and her dog. A devoted wife and mother, she treasures family time and believes that her experiences in nature fuel her passion for design.

Social Media Manager
Nadia is the creative force behind House Crush’s social media presence. Friendly and versatile, she’s always ready to lend a hand, whether it’s providing tech support, helping out on styling days, or capturing photos and videos for our Instagram page. When she’s not crafting social media posts, you’ll find her in the mountains, hiking, running, skiing, skating or paddleboarding. Nadia’s energy and enthusiasm shine through in everything she does.

Patti Stewart
Operations Manager
Patti’s love of creative spaces began at an early age when she purchased a stack of Better Homes & Gardens magazines at a garage sale. Since then, she has studied interior design, fell into bookkeeping and become a Registered Massage Therapist. Throughout her varied career, she loves helping people solve problems with her positivity and organization. Patti and her husband are renovating their mid-century modern home.
